Helo, I'm really proud to be a science student. You all tought only canivorous plants eat other anumals right? Well check again. Remember those canivorous plants like the pitcher plants also feed on animals too!
The pitcher plant is an example of canivorous plants that feeds on Other animals. It has an opening with a cover-like trap. The funnel part of it to the tube part is filled with a liquid and when insects or animals try to obtain these liquids, it traps the prey. The prey falls into the opening which leads to the tube where it is finally digested by the pitcher plant.
